Biography
Nadia (°1979) comes to us from New York City, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social Behavior from the State University of New York at Albany. Her professional background is in marketing analysis, media coordination, and international and domestic media planning. Her professionalism in the world of media began as a junior media buyer for the International and Canadian division of Active International, a corporate trading company, where she handled ad placement in radio, television and print media.
Her career took her to new heights in 2005 when she started working for the magazine publisher Wenner Media which owns Rolling Stone Magazine, a flagship publication that has been covering music and pop culture for more than four decades. The company also publishes men’s lifestyle magazine Men’s Journal and gossipy entertainment title US Weekly. As an Advertising Business Coordinator for all 3 publications, Nadia worked closely with the marketing, sales and finance departments managing advertising trend reporting, client revenue analyses as well as market research.
In 2009, she started work for Newsweek, the second-largest news weekly magazine in the U.S. publishing in four English language editions and 12 global editions, where she was in charge of International and Domestic rate structures for ad placement, business research and analysis, and monthly competitive sales reporting. In 2010, she took on additional responsibilities in digital advertising after a merger with the news and opinion website The Daily Beast.
In her spare time Nadia enjoys fashion styling and photography as well as recreational sports including snowboarding and surfing. Nadia is a music and movie buff and appreciates art and culture festivals whenever she has the opportunity.
